Grange over Sands
Grange-Over-Sands is a charming Edwardian resort nestled between the breath-taking vistas of England's Lake District fells and the long, sandy sweep of Morecambe Bay.
Grange also offers one of the mildest climates in the north and is easily accessible with excellent rail and road links.
Up until 1887, Grange-over-Sands was inaccessible other than over the sands from Lancaster.
It was however transformed from a quaint little fishing village into a fashionable and well loved resort with the advent of the Furness Railway; attracting wealthy merchants who designed beautiful homes and hotels.
This set a trend that has been upheld ever since with wonderful architecture, a warm welcome for visitors and a wealth of activities to keep all entertained.
